Building Security

Our building is designed to provide a safe and secure environment for every child, staff member, and visitor.

• A full-time security guard is on-site throughout the school day to monitor building access and security cameras located inside and outside the facility.

• Building access is carefully controlled during school hours. Entry is limited to authorized individuals and emergency personnel, such as the Bayonne Police and Fire Departments.

• Security cameras monitor key areas throughout the building and exterior grounds.

• Safety procedures are regularly reviewed to help maintain a secure environment for everyone.

Emergency Preparedness

Our staff is trained and prepared to respond quickly and confidently in the event of an emergency.

• All staff receive ongoing training in emergency preparedness, child supervision, and safety procedures.

• Every employee completes a comprehensive orientation covering JCC policies, classroom protocols, and emergency response procedures.

• Fire drills are conducted monthly at varying times to help children and staff become familiar with emergency procedures.

• Lockdown drills are held at least twice each year, as required by the Office of Licensing. We exceed these requirements by practicing more frequently to ensure staff remain prepared.

• All drills are conducted in a calm, age-appropriate manner to help children feel safe and reassured.

• Our emergency plans are reviewed and updated regularly to meet current licensing requirements and best practices

Licensed & Qualified Staff

Families can feel confident knowing our program meets New Jersey's licensing standards and that every staff member has been carefully screened.

• The JCC of Bayonne is licensed by the State of New Jersey Office of Licensing, Department of Children and Families.

• Before working with children, every staff member completes the required background checks, fingerprinting, and medical clearances in accordance with state licensing regulations.

• Staff members participate in ongoing professional development and training throughout the year to maintain high standards of care and safety.
